Mayo Jacksonville nursing graduate orientation program

Published

Hi all!

Did anyone apply to Mayo's new graduate program a few weeks ago? I haven't heard anything yet so I wondered if anyone else has.

:nurse: :redbeathe

No one else, huh? :lol2:

Yes. I applied and was called for a phone screen last Friday. The recruiter told me they were completing all the phone screens by Wednesday (yesterday), and I would know if I get a panel interview by tomorrow (Friday). This was my 2nd time appying for the new grad program, and I made sure to apply AS SOON as the link was available online so I had to have been in the first 50 applications at least. I think that may have been key. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I graduated may 2010 so I guess its never too late!

Totally crossing my fingers for you!!! :yeah::) I also applied as soon as the application went up, but at that point I hadn't graduated yet (I graduated 2 weeks later with my BSN and I'm still waiting for ATT from the State Board). I imagine that, coupled with the fact that I'm a Pennsylvania resident and have no ties to Mayo, is the reason I wasn't even in the running.

Good luck to you and I'd love to hear updates!

when does mayo clinic usually put up applications?

How did you guys apply for that program? I am graduating in December and I checked the job listings because I heard they offer gn positions. But nothing was up :(

Specializes in VA, Ortho, Med/Surg.

Isn't Mayo just a clinic? Are you guys RN's or LPN's? Do they do this with LPN's??

Mayo is a huge hospital and there are several around the country. I don't know if they hire lpns

I think the only hospitals actively hiring LPN's are Specialty and Shands (and Shands just became magnet, so I don't think they will be doing much coming up shortly).

Specializes in Dialysis.

Excuse my lack of knowledge, but can anyone tell me what Mayo's graduate program is? Or where I can find info about it? I am a pre-nursing student.
