Mayo Clinic 2018

U.S.A. Minnesota

Hi everyone! I'll be graduating May of 2018 and got a job offer at Mayo Clinic, Rochester! I thought I would start a thread for all who are thinking of applying to Mayo Clinic and will be graduating in the spring or if you already got hired, you are welcome to share any thoughts on how to land a job there! Even though it is far away, I would like to start looking for potential roommates as well! :)

I don't remember the program that was used. They just send you a link in your email and you click it which takes you to the Skype interview website that they use! Also I think the questions vary from unit to unit, just be ready for anything is my advice. I didnt realize some of the questions would be more critical thinking, so be ready for anything! Good luck!! :) :)

Ok great! I'll be sure to do that! Thank you so much :)

Good luck! Let me know how it goes! What position did you apply for??

I'll definitely keep you posted! I applied to several ICU positions, but I have my interview with the neuro ICU I applied for!

Cool!! Good luck! :) :)

Thank you so much!!

Hi everyone! Congratulations on those who received job offers and interviews at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN! I have an interview coming up in February and am very excited, but extremely nervous about it. Any tips? Advice? What others' interview experience was like?

Good luck!!! I just had my interview (for neuro as well! But not the ICU) and I'm just waiting to hear back now. I'm a nervous wreck haha. Looking forward to your update on how things go! :)

Thank you so much, bblondon!! Ahh that's so amazing!! I hope your interview went well! Did you by chance get curveball clinical triage questions or were they all more behavioral? Now it's unfortunately the waiting game of when they'll get back to you! I'll be sure to update this thread on how it goes! I too am a nervous wreck ><... i have more weeks until my interview>

I felt like it went well!! So I'm crossing my fingers. Most of the questions were behavioral but the last two were critical thinking/priority setting/triage questions! Which I was expecting, but those are difficult to prepare for so just take a deep breath and answer as best to your knowledge! You'll do great!

That's fantastic!!! I'm rooting for you and crossing my fingers for you as well! Ah, ok, I figured that would be the case :/ ..the critical thinking/priority/triage questions are the ones that I'm expecting, but are also the ones I'm super nervous and unprepared for :( Thank you! I'll do the best I can--I hope!

Keep us updated, you guys!!! If you get an offer, I'd love to meet up with you and show you around and stuff!! :)

Wow good luck to you guys who have or just had interviews! Btw, are you guys all May grads looking to start sometime in the summer?! Just making sure I'm not the only May graduate! :)
