Hello! I wanted to create this post to communicate with others that are applying for Mayo Clinic's Summer iii externship. I saw that there were similar posts for previous years, and I would love to get to know others that are applying! Look forward to hearing from you all ?

Okay thanks! I submitted mine on the 19th, so hopefully they’re not done with the selection process yet.

So are we sure that the withdrawal button means you didn't get it or did?

So I just got an email from someone in HR stating that they’re reviewing the applications currently and that we’ll know the outcome in February. I think the “withdraw” button disappearing just means that they’ve reviewed your application, but I’m not 100% sure.

I got that email like 2 days after i submitted my application

It’s a specific email from someone in HR because I emailed them to ask about the interview. It’s not the generic one everyone received.

Not initially. I didn’t think they would tell me that information, but I just emailed back asking about it, so I will give an update when they respond.

I’m sure they are and we should all just calm down and wait haha i doubt they’d change the same system they’ve used for years! They prob mean we’ll know the final outcome in Feb.

They’ll most likely still send out who the top 100 are. I just asked about the interview because I read on a different thread that there were interviews in the past, but she told me there wasn’t an interview for this position and that they’ll be in contact with the final outcome in February. Then I sent an email back asking about the withdraw button as well as if we’d see any changes on our application because I read on a past post that their application status was still “in review” when they found out they were accepted, so I’m still waiting for a response.
