Hello, I have just accepted a job at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and was curious if anyone else will be starting as a new grad soon? They would like me to start in mid-February. I will be graduating with my BSN in December and am super excited about this offer. Minnesota is a big move for me since I am originally from California. Maybe looking for potential roommates? If anyone is a new grad, I would love to hear from you on the forum!
Dang, I would love to get a job with them, but they won't consider me. Congratulations and best of luck to you! One thing I would say is, since you have posted where you are working, be very careful of the stories you share on this website. We all need to be mindful of HIPAA when posting here, but because your work location is known, you'll need to be extra discreet.
Why won't they consider you?
I am from the area and worked for Mayo for 5 years. The pay is actually above average (not that it matters). Also, an excellent company to work for. They take care of their employees in matters of benefits, etc. They also support effective communication, professionalism, and overall kindness to your coworkers and patients. Drink the kool-aid...don't listen to the nay sayers. Best of luck. You will do great!
Thank you so much for your advice. This is really awesome to hear especially because I have only visited once and I am coming all the way from California. I know it'll be such a great experience and I am so excited for it!

I've seen you post this on so many Mayo threads. Are you seeking them out to give your opinion? Mayo doesn't even use travel nurses anymore and they are offering 8$ more an hour than my local hospital. So your opinions seem antiquated.
