Hello, I have just accepted a job at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and was curious if anyone else will be starting as a new grad soon? They would like me to start in mid-February. I will be graduating with my BSN in December and am super excited about this offer. Minnesota is a big move for me since I am originally from California. Maybe looking for potential roommates? If anyone is a new grad, I would love to hear from you on the forum!
Aww thank you so much, I really appreciate it!! Yes we shoudl exchange email or phone numbers. I don't think I am able to direct message on here since I am under 15 posts but my email is [email protected]. send me an email, I can give you my number and we can set something up!
Dang, I would love to get a job with them, but they won't consider me. Congratulations and best of luck to you! One thing I would say is, since you have posted where you are working, be very careful of the stories you share on this website. We all need to be mindful of HIPAA when posting here, but because your work location is known, you'll need to be extra discreet.
Why go to Minnesota, when Mayo is nearby in Phoenix? Best of luck, working for Mayo. You will be getting lower than average pay and be under their microscope.Let us know how it's going.
Not sure where you are but Mayo is one of the best paying employers in the Rochester area. Benefits are good, and you get a higher starting wage if you have your BSN.
Thank you so much for the advice and positivity! I really appreciate it! I am very thankful for uworld and really hope I pass also. I probably wont be able to finish all the questions but am working my butt off to finish. Much needed prayers for this test!
You will find that NCLEX is easier than nursing school.I used UWorld, and thought it was the best money I every spent. You will pass easily if you are using UWorld.
Best wishes to all of you. Enjoy this experience. I hope it serves you well.
Yes very true! I don't plan on sharing any stories on here, just trying to see how many others will be starting aronud the same time as me since I won't know too many people moving all the way from California. Thank you very much for the advice though! I will defindately keep that in mind.
