The Mayo Clinic Summer III application was just opened, so I figured I would start a thread and see if anyone else is planning to apply? It is open until January 2016, so feel free to hop in and comment anytime!

Hi everyone!

I just heard about this program and I am looking to apply. I am actually very nervous! I was wondering how long the essays are supposed to be. I know there is no limit but I tend to talk a lot once I get the hang of it. I wish you guys the best of luck and I am sure we will keep in touch! :)

Hello everyone! Just applied to the program this past week! It would be a dream true if I were to be selected. I am optimistic but realistic since this program is extremely competitive. :yes:

Hi everybody! I'm a senior nursing student from northern California.

I really wish I had checked this, and other threads, BEFORE I applied. My essays were short but concise, because for some reason, I wrote it like a cover letter (just the good stuff, no rambling, get straight to the point). Oh well, I tried my best. Good luck, everyone!

I can't apply for this externship until next year, but good luck to those who applied! I looked over the externship online and it looks like a dream come true [emoji7] It's insane that they take about 60 out of 800 applicants. How did everyone make themselves stand out? For those of you who have been accepted in the past, was it based on GPA/recommendation/leadership/connections/ect??
