Anyone else starting May 1st with me? I'm doing the RN to BSN program. I can hardly wait and excited to start orientation (Education without Borders) next week on April 15th! I haven't been this excited since nursing school. :) I'm such a nerd.

Congrats everyone!!! I'm starting my 2nd term May 1st and I've been nothing but pleased so far.

Woohoo! I love your avatar and username--very appropriate! :)

We can also add Frontier Nursing University to the list. One of my former schoolmates completed her BSN degree at WGU and was accepted to Frontier.

Good to know! That's where I plan on applying after the BSN.

Specializes in High Risk L&D, Quality RN.

Good luck everyone! I am exactly a month behind you, with a tentative start date of June 1st in the RN-MSN (Leadership & Education) program. I have passed the Readiness Assessment, sent all official transcripts, completed FAFSA, signed master promissory note, took financial aid counseling quiz, and submitted the background check $42 today. Is there much more to do prior to starting? I'm getting excited/nervous and just want to start now :) Is there anything I can start doing now to be ready to pass a few courses immediately? Time is money and i'm hoping to get through this program as quickly as possible ;)

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I just got the process started for the RN to MSN Education option. I hope to start June 1st. Good luck!

I'm right behind you guys, June 1st start date ! So excited and nervous. I agree with featherzRN, join the RN to BSN group on Facebook they are awesome. I've been a member since Jan. (a silent lurker) and they are very helpful and welcoming of new students like us. They're like a little family and they have answers and suggestions to just about any question you have about the program and the courses. The only thing is reading the topics or post is like reading a foreign language at times because they refer to the courses in their abbreviations...then I'm totally lost, lol! :D

Specializes in Outpatient/Clinic, ClinDoc.

I started June 1 LAST year (and graduated in september LOL). June is a good month to start in except for my entire summer passing me by while I was in studying :) . The facebook group is invaluable ( RN TO BSN Discussion) - even the RN to MSN students should join, as the earlier classes are the same and the group is a bit more active than the MSN groups. And you'll get used to those class codes eventually!! They'll be ingrained in your brain soon enough.

That's awesome featherzRN!! You are definitely a legend around here for completing the program in that record's time  ! I would be ectastic to complete it in 9 months!
