apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....
im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......
Hey all, while studying for the NCLEX (Mine is May 14, ahhhh), I came upon a way to help me remember insulin administration.
Regular Insulin -> "R" for "ready to give"
NPH Insulin -> "No Patient Hurry"
Thus R insulin is shorter acting and NPH is intermediate acting.
Well it helped me, hopefully this will be of help to you.
rn's draw up the regular insulin before the nph insulin.
"..draw up insulin using the "nancy reagan rn" method...inject the dosage amount of air into the nph insulin (cloudy) then the dosage amount of air into the regular (clear), then keeping the syringe in the clear, draw up the amount to be given and return to the nph and draw up that amount....hence....nrrn...."
Being supportive and warm is a part of nursing job, I believe. If one cannot be supportive at a forum, how he (she) can be supportive at work? But I can understand that everyone is stress out right now and just doesn't want to help others. Even though April group did managed to help each other.
do you feel like we're not helping one another?.. I think i'm getting good info from this forum..
hope i didn't quote you wrong..
GO MAY NCLEX TAKERS !
well guys, i m back, i went into the exams 30min earlier, started 15min earlier with all the confidence i could have, by the time i passed number 75, i tell you, anxiety set in, i took my only break @ number 85 cos my head was so heavy on me, i tell you the best experience is for the system to shut off @75 but mine did not.i came back, continued till around 98 and i cant know @ what number maybe 100 or so it went blank, and i was like maybe an error cos i ready to go the way down but i was not praying for 265 anyway, and so i shut off, and wasnt sure of myself if i got the last one wrong or right, all i know is i counted 16 weird SATA a lot of meds out of the blues and a little of evrything.
unfortunately, med is my weakest point and i ever say a way out till i wrote the test, infact some i just ticked anything, u can imagine when the 4 options are meds and u don't know what to pick cos you dont even know the meds, funny.
i was already in tears @number 90, cos this is my 2nd time.
sorry..i click the thanks button instead of quote..anyway, hang in there. when we do questions in our room it's totally different when we seat there on pearson! this will be my 2nd take too..i got 265 on my last take. after 75. anxiety sets in..i did take my first break just to shout out all my frustrations in the comfort room (i was alone). anyway, numbers doesn't count. a lot of people pass by those scores and a lot of people doesn't. just keep your faith on yourself and to God. while waiting for the result, tell Him what your heart really desires. Praying that all the people surrounds you will be an encouragement for you. I know that's what you needed most. The May Nclex Takers will be praying for you..count me in! :)
and now..im having butterflies on my tummy again..12 days to go..:redbeathe
May 7th is on wednesday, recheck your date so you dont get messed up and go on the wrong day.:nuke: good luckHang in there, the fact that you got SATA questions is a positive sign..since those are considered upper level questions. I will be praying for you and all of us. I test Tuesday May 7. Best of luck. Please update us.:typing
