Yes we are retaking it!!Its 3times for me as well!I hear it alot from work too especially because where I work there isnt graduate nurses do,I am back to being a CNA.Hard too.But we will pass!!!!DOnt give up!! :bugeyes:

sorry to hear abou the treatment your getting on your floor, thats just absurd ! the BEST nurses have failed ! and one day you WILL pass --if i personally would not want to work on a unit that treated ANYONE like that. My unit co-workers are ALL very supportive--hey, once you get your RN , with the nursing shortage, you know you can "write your own ticket"--

Jaxgirl metntioned that the THREE of us are testing on may 7th--i wish the best for us all

UNFORTUNATELY--i live in CA and am at the mercy of the CA BRN which does NOT provide quick results that EVERYONE else gets but us.. sooooo you guys will know waaaaaayyyyy before me--if im lucky i might know in 2 weeks.--I truley wish the best for everyone..i am sooo anti-nclex, that i want everyone to pass just to get over this ridiculous test, which "tests" us in a perfect nclex world were we have "plenty of staff, pletny of time and one pt" BUT once we pass this nclex we will NEVER work in such a world--they hold us accountable to a "fantasy" test just so we will never work in such a world...absurd, BUT- as the golden rule says

THOSE WHO HAVE THE GOLD----------------MAKES THE RULES. its there show and we gotta pass it.

apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....
im taking my nclex on the May the 7th...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

Hi, I am taking the NCLEX RN for the 3rd time.. I graduated Summer 2007. I am currently working as a unit secretary and I will admit it has not been easy. I pray that I pass it this time; people at work ask me EVERY single day "when will you test again"? :typing

yup. family always asked me when i was to test again. kept on delaying it. so here i am. taking the test on may 7th. hopefully this time i pass. redeem myself from calling myself a failure....

Hello everyone!! I'm new on this site and after reading all the posts I feel more nervous then ever. I took the test in March and did not pass. I have rescheduled in June. For all of those who have taken it more then twice, what have you changed in your study habits? I only want to take the test twice but I'm scared b/c there are people who have taken the test three or four times and have not passed. I'm just soooo scared to take it again and not pass for the second time. I have no money and my student loans are almost in repayment. I just want to work as an RN and just get on with my life.

yup jaxgirl, our "day" is coming up. --i have to finish about 200 pages left in saunders, and i have like 3 more Kaplan quizes and im also doing a cd rom quiz from hurst a friend gave me, you print out the questins (like 125) then pop in the cd and they go over it with you and explain it. she says thats all she used, and recommended it-soo im giving that a try-

JAX GRL and boobool07,

I've read some posts of other people who've taken Kaplan and a lot of them say not to worry about scores in the 50s and 60s. That makes me feel a little better. I have a friend who took the test a month ago and she used Kaplan and got similar scores to mine and passed:D So I'm trying not to focus so much on the scores but the strategies and reviewing rationales.

Oh and I also have to deal with the CA BRN and from what I've read so far I'm concerned about how long it will take to get my results:uhoh3: As if this whole process isn't torture enough:banghead:

....These SATA questions are killer...I keep , either getting all of them +1, OR all of them -1.."almost" most of the time..I can see my next test....20 SATA questions with me getting , mabye 4-5 right. thats not good., SATA and meds are the (2) areas i need the most focus on.

Same here (MaleNurseRock )Meds are a big problem for me too. SATA I really don't like those .Hopefully we won't get to many SATA and just a few meds. I know the 1st time I tested I only had 4 or 5 meds questions and maybe 2 SATA...:nuke:
