i just got my result and i fail guys...

sorry to hear that..you're not alone. i failed the may test too..spend the days after resting..or go for a walk you know. i don't talk much and i don't want to talk to those persons who doesn't even understand how the test goes. that's why i came here and spend time here more often. and yes..totally is not just about content. everyone could pass on content basis. and only the makers of the nclex q's and evaluators knows the process. how many times have i wanted to just give up..but there's also time when i ask myself why some passed even they doesn't even know some of the content. doesn't know the drugs..or what are the disease and s/s..the rationales. i just don't get it til now..just want you to know may family is always here..always.

I was also wondering, who holds them accountable for whatever they do??? I am talking about the few people that make the NCLEX questions. I know that you have to pay a lot of money just to see your results, which I find irrational, but if you want to actually fight with them you have spend millions. So I am wondering if anybody actually asked themselves who does it and what are their guidelines for making those NCLEX questions. Anyway, this stress is no good for my body, I throw up constantly and have stomach pains. Hopefully one day somebody will get on these people's back and actually hold them accountable for everything. If I get a stomach cancer I sue them.

I am sure if you check the NCSBN website you will find out on how they go about the questions. They are ensuring that you meet standards and are able to nurse safely.

That is my thoughts on the exam

I'm sorry to those who did not pass

Congratulations to those who did.

Either way one day we will all become nurses.

Now that this is the end of May I hope the thread doesn't close down. I understand those who go over to first year of nursing as I will be doing when my time comes. But I want to post on the may board just a little bit more and encourage you all on. :)

When my results come in the mail (hopefully next week) I will let you know.

Take care everyone :heartbeat

..ah, you need to read ALL my previous posts..lol, you will see i am 9as EVERYONE knows in HERE) THE #1 NCLEX/ CA BRN hater........EVER !!!

--i TOTALLY agree with you

as i said before,

The NCLEX DOES NOT do what it is supposed to do-

-----prove competency in nurses. period.

I failed it twice, just passed on my third attempt a few weeks ago.

--did i study differently ?? NO

--did i become smarter ?? NO

--ok...i must have become SAFER ?? NO

--more competent ??? NO !!

what i did was LEARN HOW to beat a test, i simply THOUGHT like them. and THAT is the NCLEX secret, pure and simple. ONCE you can do that...you will pass.. its NOT "critical" thinking at all.. TRUE critical thinking is "thinking outside the box" and coming up with multiple answers..............NOT JUST answer A on a test.

You have to realize , its not YOU, it really is the TEST. -Because someone chose A and you chose B , both answers were really good and had REASONABLE rationales.

when i studied for my NCLEX, i was fortunate to have friends (and wife) who are all RN's (some for many years, some new) --and i would give them the same questions i was studying and see what they answered..

guess what, 99% of the time they answered with me..even the wrong ones..so, with that said--i would like to see a 5 or 6 year Rn (or longer)

'

sit, take, AND pass a current NCLEX exam. im sure alot of RN's would pass

BUT, ALOT would FAIL !!!

--what happened ??!!--did they become LESS competent over the years ??--should we REVOKE the liscense ??--

this again proves--The NCLEX does not prove competence--you surely would not lose competence ove the years but rather, reason dictates--you would gain MORE competence as you progresses in your RN career.

--the people who write this test and at the BRN are so focused on the question itself but looses focus on what the test is supposed to do.

Test us with a test that reflects the "real" world-------------NOT the NCLEX "perfect" world, that no one will EVER work in.

..ahhhh, i feel good now, i just ranted again---i feel i have to rant over the NCLEX at LEAST once per week. and i will--for the rest of my career !!! (even when i am in the nursing home)

GOOD LUCK To those who test soon !!!!--

JON (35 years from retirement, sitting in a chair-playing checkers, eating pudding -with my meds in them and STILL complaining about the NCLEX-RN ) ;)

Thank You so much, it was a real encouragement!!!

I took nclexrn today!:stone

I think I failed again because: the exam was a lot easier then last time, i didn`t get not one single med calculation...nothing! someone ever passed without getting med calculation ever? indeed i had lots of priority, teaching, about 10 sata maybe....and who i see first...but, it stopped at 75 same as last time...maybe i`m not meant to be a nurse:banghead:

lasa, you don't really know anything for sure until you get that letter. You need to take a step back and do something to get your mind off of the TEST! (take in a move, play video games etc) WE are all here to give you whatever support we can :)

I believe that there is someone who posted here on this thread that didn't get a single calculations question and passed. I know I've read one post like that on allnurses. I've also heard of it in my NCLEX class. My teacher told me of one student who wrote her about that. It's rare but it's a possibility.

Just hang tough and wait for your letter. May family will be here for you. :heartbeat
