Follow the resources the school recommends and get in touch with any student success professionals the school has. Choose the method you will use to solve the problems -- there are usually 3 different methods-- stay true to that method. Do not try to learn a different method "from a friend who uses a different method". Otherwise you will end up doing half of one strategy and half of another.

If you like dimensional analysis, go for it..but use it for every problem.

I get two more chances after this but, my professor said that "each test will increase in difficulty and you only have to pass one of them.( So all the students who passed the easy first test will stay in the program even if they fail the harder ones since you only need to pass on of them. Doesn't make any sense to me! )"Anyways do you have any advice on what I can do to pass It this time? Websites ,books study habits, advice anything will help. Thank you
I'm sorry you're getting frustrated with this rule. I have a background in calculus and chem. I love the dimensional analysis. I only use what my college uses for the medication calculation.
I suggest you practice your calculation until the day you take your med calculation. Ask your instructors if they have resources you can use to practice with.
Practice, practice, and practice.
OK so I failed it again ! This time I got an 8.5 instead of a 9 that I needed. The instructor went over it with me and basically I put 7 ml/hr when it should have been 7 hr. I get one more try and then im kicked from the program. I talked to my parents and husband they all say she's a racist and then from that point on I have been crying all day. I hope its not true. I worked so hard and studied so hard for nothing.
You are making progress! You are doing better. Labels, while you may not understand them yet, are important. Regroup in the morning and keep practicing. Are you still aiming for 90% or is it now 100%? You will be tested on these calculations throughout your program so it is good you are working on getting them correct now.

Set up some practice tests like your past tests and work on doing the test without succumbing to your anxiety. Really, that way will know you can complete the test with your skills and knowledge. Practicing things only makes us do better.
