Chaddwick's: C stands for color; Chaddwick's sign is to check for color change in the lady parts.
Goodel's: G is for gooey; Goodels sign checks for softening of the cervix, it becomes almost a gooey texture.
Hedger's: Makes you scream"HEY", It hurts because the uterus is being manipulated to check for tilting.
Hope this helps, My maternity teacher taught us these.

I am studying Maternity right now.
Does anyone out there have a snappy way to remember that;
Chadwick's Sign is of the lady parts
Goodell's Sign is of the Cervix
and Hedger's Sign is of the lower uterus?
Perhaps a mneumonic or something?
Let me know if you have any ideas. I know what it is but can't remember where they are :)
I'm not an ob/gyn nurse, but I have been on that table several times being examined by one. :chuckle
This is how I would remember them:
Chadwick = wick = tampon into the lady parts
Goodell = good = It's good to have a cervix at the top of the wick
Hedger = hedge = the lower uterus is the hedge over the cervix
Silly, but it worked for me in school.
