soooo, I got my mail, And there it was...... a letter from Massasoit College. I get all excited and I run to the kitchen to find a knife. At this point I could feel the excitement which was causing my heart to beat really fast and and it caused my hand to start shaking because I was sooo nervous.
I finally get the knife into the corner of the letter and rip it open. All excited I pull out..............

Hello....I did receive my letter from MCC in the mail yesterday (Saturday) I live very close to school, so if everyone else does not have it yet expect it Monday, Tuesday latest. Mine said, due to the number of overqualified students that applied to the program we are unable to offer you an acceptance to the program at this time. So where do I go from here??? I am not getting any younger....LOL.
Hi Jreneex2,
I'm so sorry that you were'nt accepted.
I'm sorry too. Time for plan B. Trust me...you're not old for nursing. UMASS has a Nov. 1st deadline for a Spring start....
Jreneex2,
I'm not sure where your located but I thought I'd let you know about a couple of schools that has Nursing Programs.
Bunker Hill in Boston has their Spring 10' ADN program application time May-Aug , Roxbury Community College ADN/LPN and you can also look into Quincy College's ADN/LPN program.
Thanks, for the tips guys...I have been typing all sorts of stuff into the search engines trying to find out what, when, where etc. for deadlines and pre-reqs etc. I am in whitman, so not too far which made Massasoit ideal, plus I had already earned a degree from them, and had a time waiver for my science courses. Which is why I only applied there. Most of the schools that I did know about required the science's to be no > 5years old. I am now thinking should I be jumping in on summer session and repeating them all??? Even thought they told me the waiver was acceptable? It is definately not for the other schools?? Or should I be applying all my credits to a bachelors and try for an accellorated program?? Do those schools mentioned have a pre-req for the science course ages?? Thanks again...Good luck to those who have not head yet!
I mean HEARD yet....LOL
BHCC has a five year time limit on their sciences , Im not sure about the others schools that I mentioned. Well I do know that Quincy College only require Gen Biology and Chemistry.
If you become an LPN...your sciences will be locked in and never expire so you have plenty of time to get into an RN bridge program without the worry. I know it may delay you but an LPN program is only 10 months long. Just a thought.
