Actually UC regents are going to partner with the county in reopening it.

They're going to have to make major changes. Back when I was still a medic riding an ambulance in south central, the locals called that particular facility "killer king", and they did so for a reason.

Yep. It's supposed to be reopened in 2013 (according to LA Times).
