Hi! Any Marquette hopefuls this app. cycle? I'm a little ahead of the game here but am too excited not to be =0) I'm applying to the CNM track!

Pg. 334 in this handbook has the description of all of the classes for the first 15 months. Just wanted to post it in case anyone else was looking for descriptions!!! Does anyone know if the general BSN undergrads will be in our classes too, or if there will be sections for just the DE MSN students?
Well.. while there is still an OK chance of acceptance for me, I think I have pretty much made up my mind against Marquette! The fact that the program takes longer than many of the others (or at least all of those that I have explored), would mean I would have to be somewhere that I don't really want to be (cold in the Mid-west =) that much longer! Being from the highly progressive, liberal PacNW...I feel it would be in my best interest to be educated with those values as I plan to practice on the West Coast in a public health type setting. I was kind of "testing the waters" this app. cycle and I think I am going to take some time to reassess it all =) Now, don't get me wrong.. if I get an acceptance to Hawaii's MEPN program this month I will be packing up and packing out! I would really like to be somewhere with nice weather after years of gloomy winters here in Portland and Hawaii offers the multi-cultural, public health oriented education I know that I want. Grad school is not just school, or an education, but likely some of the best years of our lives building relationships with others in the program, growing, expanding our knowledge and discovering new places! I want to tailor my experience to my hopes, dreams and desires! You are all going to get to do that... with each other!! =)
I think I am writing all of this to solidify it in my mind..lol! After obsessing over the application and such for the past year and a half it's in an interesting epiphany to want to make this experience as rewarding as possible for me, even if it means waiting. It's been fun going through this with you guys and I am SO excited for you all to embark on your dreams.
I wish you the best of luck MissHolland! I have been accepted to Bellin College of Nursing's 15 month Accelerated BSN program and will be going there if I do not receive an acceptance from Marquette. In one way or another we will all accomplish our goals! The future of nursing is bright with us entering the field!
