Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

I just saw the email, I am excited, I too want to do GCC evening that way we don't have to pay an arm and leg for daycare for our youngest. If I don't get a spot this go around though its not that big of a deal I plan to apply for CEP at the end of the semester giving me a better chance to get an automatic spot in the cohort I want.

From my understanding, I could be wrong, CEP people get placed first at their choice as long as there are spots available.

I noticed a decrease in all the numbers too (specifically GCC and Estrella). I know CEP gets placed first and for NAU and Upper Iowa I know they don't have a cap on how many CEP students they take each semester , so if a lot apply it could mean no spots open for certain cohorts. I was told by and advisor that Glendale traditional is pretty much only CEP students...pretty near impossible to get a Glendale day spot without being CEP. But for the other programs I have no idea, just know their numbers decreased like you notcied too! Good luck everyone :)

I got the email too! Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone, just curious as to who's already in the program, I'm wondering what school you go to and what your school schedule is like.. Thanks:)

Also I have a question with the CEP, I was looking at the ASU brochure and it has MAT 142 and HCR240. Do those need to be taken before you apply? Thought I'd ask here before trying the school

Yeah, they have to be taken before applying.

Well, looks like I have a meeting with the Gateway advisor next week! Since my GCU summer plans fell through I'm hoping to hop on the CEP train. I have all my pre-reqs done for the most part, finishing Micro next week, so hopefully I won't have any surprises. Hoping I can get everything done so I can start this coming Fall!

They have already placed CEP applicants for fall. The next application session in May/June will be to start in spring.

Edited to clarify: The nursing blocks through Maricopa would start in spring. Some of the CEP programs may start you on some university classes the semester before that but it's not the nursing blocks.

Wow really? I specifically asked about fall in the info session and she said it was possible. That sucks a lot.

That is weird but she may have been referring to starting the university portion in the fall. But yeah they have placed all the cep that applied in February in their fall spots and are getting ready in April to place the non CEP students for Fall 2015.

That's very strange that they would say that to you. February applicants go for fall start and the May/June applicants go for spring start. Some of the universities may start ahead of time. For example, people that applied for NAU CEP in the February application session will likely take 1-2 NAU courses this summer before starting nursing blocks this fall. I'm going for upper Iowa so I don't remember what NAU or ASU do the semester before. I have been in contact with the Iowa advisor and made a game plan with her for how my semesters will look and if I'm accepted when I apply this may (I'm confident I will be) I won't be taking any courses through Iowa or nursing courses with Maricopa til January. I am signed up to complete some humanities courses this fall to get those co-requisites out of the way for my degree though so I won't have to complete them later.

Hi.. I have a questions.. I have been reading through your post. For the maricopa waitlist.. How do you all know how many people are on it or ahead of you? My time stamp is 02/06/2015 08:02:44AM... Also my friend has not submitted yet, but going too any day.,, Is the last day for this "cut off" 3-31?

thanks
