Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

@sparks87 no I didn't apply to any CEPs. I have children so I don't want to overload myself. After I am done I'm going to get my bachelors. It will take longer but I feel it will be better for my success to do it that way.. What about you? Are you in a programs or still waiting? Did you apply to any CEPs?

As long as you start gathering your supplies and uniform and everything else you can a head of time it won't be as bad...the books you'll have to save for and you have what they call ATI fee which have to be paid each semester that's roughly $250, books are dependjng where you get it from anywhere from 400-600 and supplies deprding on what you like 200. If you don't know how to do manual Blood pressures I would recommend you invest in a BP cuff if anything to practice.

Are you at GWCC? Im at SCC and we use HESI, not ATI and there is not a separate fee for it. I want to say that GWCC is the only school in the program that uses ATI instead, but I could be wrong on that.

I'm at MCC and they use it every semester, but they do use the HESI only for the exit exam at the end of each semester.

Im at GWCC and they use Hesi after each semester it is included for a small portion of your grade.

Hmm. I stand corrected. I guess each of the programs has its own testing ways.

Does anyone know when they will start regular waitlist placements for fall?

Question about the fafsa...should one select all the colleges on their fafsa that are their choices on the wait list since you don't know which one you'll get into?

I've only ever had to fill it out for one school at a time because I always knew where I'd be going but now I have 4 different colleges on my wait list options so should I choose them all on my fafsa until we hear for placement and then just decline the ones I don't end up needing? Thanks for any feedback!

Did you apply to the CEP or are you waiting on the waiting list? How long have you been on the list?

If you applied to the CEP it should only take about 2 weeks to know where you are going I would wait.

I am not eligible for CEP yet as I don't have all the pre reqs for any of the universities to be able to apply (and still unsure if I want to start that right away or wait til block 3 or after graduation)

My time stamp is August 2014 but the nursing advisor has told me the wait is basically down to 1 year now so even though I'm not positive I'll be placed for fall I want to be prepared.

@futureRN101 what schools did you apply to?
