does anyone know if we can just take one part of the hesi, example: I scored very high on my math but for english composite was an 82. I do not want to retake and possibly boost my english but then drop my math

from what i was told no they only take the scores from one test.

i would retake it because you can choose which hesi test you hand in.

the higher english grade will likely equal more points compared to a higher math . good luck

School: Not sure yet, but applying to ASU

GPA : 3.58 (does anyone know if they round up? lol)

HESI overall score : 82.67%

English Score : 80.67%

Math Score : 92%

Total points: 78.8

I am retaking my HESI to try to score higher ?

From what i hear, a lot of students are applying within the 78-82 point range. Most of my classmates who are applying have between 78-81 points and they all have GPA above 3.5 but HESI scores are average.

When are you retaking the HESI?

Good Luck!

School: Gateway Community College (AM&PM), Chandler-Gilbert, and Scottsdale Community College

GPA: 3.75 (I'm retaking bio201 this spring semester to get a 4.0 if I don't get in this round. I got a B in lab and a C in lecture at GCU back in 2014 when I used to attend but all my other grades are A's)

HESI overall score: 93% (this was my first time taking the Hesi a2, I was so scared because I only studied for 2 weeks, so I'm glad got over a 90%)

English Score: 91.33%

Math Score: 98%

Total points: 86.66 (If I calculated it correctly)

I turned in my application at GWCC today! I was going to apply to ASU, but the nursing advisor convinced me to apply to GCU last minute. My choices in order are GWCC traditional, CGCC, GWCC evenings, and SCC. I also just finished with an associates this last semester which gives me the extra 2.5 points. I'm nervous because this is my first time applying to the program. Good luck to everyone applying!!! Anyone else applying to GCU this round?

What’s the difference between ASU and GCU? I’m applying at ASU

The only difference is the Chem (ASU) vs Patho class(GCU) requirement. GCU needs chemistry as well, but you need the pathophysiology too. I was planning on applying to ASU but the advisor made me nervous and I didn't think I would get into ASU with 85-86 (I'm not positive my points are at 86.66 because I haven't asked a GCU advisor for sure yet, could be lower)... So last minute I switched with GCU. I'm not mad about my decision because I used to attend that university. However, I was scared that ASU would be too competitive for me to get in. Best of luck this round!! I hope you get into ASU! ?
