March 26 start

Nursing Students Ohio University

Anyone else planning on starting the program on March 26? I just got off the phone with admissions and they have my transcripts. After my info as been through "two checkpoints," I'm supposed to receive a welcome packet in late February. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

I somehow got a 100% on module 2's essay! I seriously thought I was doomed!

Is anyone else having any formatting issues with their papers? I spent so much time because it kept screwing up on my paper. By the time I submitted it, I thought I had it straight. I was so burned out, I don't know what the hell happened. My Running header didn't say Running header, and NONE of my pages had the running header or page numbers, EXCEPT my final reference page. I have no idea what happened, because it was there at first. I must have screwed something up right before submitting. I'm so mad at myself. I only got a 90 due to every single page missing the title. I'm so frustrated.

triple crap - I did my wacko state citation wrong too!

I didn't get marked down for not putting a reference for my state. I forgot to put something in italics apparently, so lost a point for that, and then my stupid running header and page number issue. Still can't figure out why that happened.

Maybe it was epic?? That's unfortunate.

No it was on my end, I went back and looked at my saved copy and it was missing there too. I mean, it's my own fault for not catching it before I submitted, but I know I had it right. I was having issues when I was doing my references. Trying to do the hanging indent kept messing up the format for my entire paper, changing the margins and stuff. So I must have messed up something when I was trying to deal with that. I was so burned out by that point, I didn't catch it. Guess I know for next time.

So I guess I will have to take the entire summer off, although I had planned to go for Part A. But there are no classes that I can take. My C-section is August 10th, and Summer B runs through the 11th. All the nursing classes offered are only the courses that are being combined, and excellence. I can't do a 10 week class, since it runs into when I need to be off for maternity leave. So frustrated.

That is frustrating. Especially since you just got started. I know I have had issues as well waiting to take combined classes instead of separate. I am taking the summer off...but only because I wanted to.

Maybe you could get some of the books ahead of time and start your summer reading!

I wish you all the best with the new baby coming in August!

Thank you!

If it wasn't for the fact I'd have to take Algebra, I would just do statistics at Rio Salado during this time. OU has a 5 week stats, but it's for part B only. I need the arts course, and the cross cultural, but I don't think anything offered meets that either.

It may be a blessing anyways. We are going to be switching to 12 hour shifts at work, I'm currently on 3-11pm, 3 days a week. So going to 12's, at 8 months pregnant is going to be a huge adjustment. Especially if I get stuck on night shift, which I am really hoping does not happen. Although there is a good chance I will.

Oh Gosh...night shift. I stay up late at home all the time, but, when I am forced to do it at work it kills me. We still have 8 hour shifts where I work. I prefer those. ;)

Hope the DB went well last week for all. Did you guys do your Transition Degree Completion Plan? I notice it is in the to do section of my ohio and we need to contact our Q2S advisor. I am assuming this is our regular advisor but i am not sure; i believe it is due on May 1st so we have a little time.

Just in case anyone isn't subscribed or following the regular thread. If you get the email about the tuition increase, it does NOT affect us. Atleast this time. Says the last line of the article, out of state tuition not affected.
