how many hours of psychiatric nursing training in RN program in the US?

Hi everyone!

Can anyone tell me how many hours of psychiatric nursing (theory and practice) is necessary to be able to have your RN status recognized in the US? I trained in Spain and I am not quite sure if I have enough hours (might have to do further training). Please if you know how many hours did you have during your training in psychiatric nursing (theory and practice) you will be a great help.

Each BON has their own requirements the best way is probably to do a CES report with CGFNS I am sure Suzanne will be along soon to post
