Yesterday I had 13.5% of one school's population out and today it's 10%. Wash those paws kiddos!! I made my call to the health dept just as an FYI - i can't prove that they're all out with the same thing - but they were interested to know. Especially when i sent 9 kids out with the same thing my kid's been out with since Friday (high fever, flu like symptoms).

Yikes! Wear your hazmat suit!!

I am not eligible for sick days until I have completed 60 working days so I am living in constant fear of catching something or my kids getting sick... so far we have been very lucky this year! My kids have only missed for dr appts. I'd love to take a "mental health day" but I won't have my 60 days done until May :(

The flu is now everywhere. And what's up with this sinus infection and cough that's lingering for weeks? I'm even on abt for it.

Here in Texas I've had lots of confirmed flu cases over the past 2 weeks. Lots of allergy/sinus/cold crud going on as well. I've been Lysoling my office several times a day and praying I don't catch what the kids are passing around here.

Same at my school. I saw 7 students before I was even contractually obligated to be here this morning!! One was too dizzy to walk from cafeteria so I went and got her in a wheelchair. Was feeling that way when mom sent her in this morning.

I always have that going around here at my school! We have the very high socioeconomic population and the very, very low with virtually nothing in between.

My daughter is going on day 6 with the flu and was still a legit 102 at 5 with waking her for antipyretics. Back to the doc today with her i guess. Thank god for hubby's flexible schedule. Makes me wonder how many kids from my scores that have been out i'm going to have back and loaded up with meds that will just fall to pieces around lunchtime.
