Why do you think male nurses a few in the nursing profession and even in the nursing schools?

*** Just wondering , with two degrees in engineering why in the heck would you want to get into nursing?

Bachelor of Industrial & Systems Engineer

MS in Mfg Systems with a CIMS certificate

1. There is no more manufacturing infrastructure in the US (duh!), as it has all gone to China.

2. Pay Scales flip flopped between the two disciplines.

3. I chased out manufacturing in the US, with auto industry being the last manufacturing; and moving around constantly is no fun and depletes your bank account (big bucks indirect labor is the first to go in hard times).

4. Helping injured factory workers systemically was the most satisfying work, more than making multi million dollars for company.

5. And I can!

Not necessarily in that order.

I LOVE our male nurses. Almost all of them are incredibly nice, and some of them are just flat out hilarious. They seem more laid back. Also, it seems like when there are male nurses around, the female nurses tend to be a little more laid back.
