Hey Everyone,
Long time lurker here!
I made a promise to myself. The only way that I will ever make an Allnurses account, is when I apply to nursing school. Well, that time has finally arrived, and I just finished submitting my application to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. I clicked on that submit button like a boss!
Good luck to everyone who applied.
Again, I was misinformed by a malcolm x registration employee that as long as my transcripts were in the system then I'm ok. After getting all that straighten out I just got my acceptance email.I'm in! Can't wait to meet you all!
First of all congrats! How long ago did you submit the transcripts? I hope my high school ones were evaluated
Since I graduated from a CCC & took the BNA through a CCC as well, should I be ok without the transcripts?
If they already have your diploma on file, you're good. I also took my BNA at Malcolm & was told I was ok, but I resubmitted everything because I don't want to hear any excuses from them that I'm missing documents.

I submitted my transcripts in April but they didn't get evaluated until I made a special request for them to be evaluated in May. Not one of the 7 people I talked to at mxc told me I needed them "evaluated" for the nursing program. When I went to the college for the 8th time and asked why my courses weren't on peoplesoft the 8th person said I needed my transcripts "evaluated" and its a special request for that. This happened 1 week before the deadline! I had so many issues with application process, and I can see why someone would get discouraged. I hope this post will be helpful to anyone that plans on applying in the future.
Yeah they help us register just not sure when. When I was in the nursing office they seemed eager to get me out of there so I figured they will email soon. I understand they're busy but I would just like to make SURE I'm in lol the acceptance letter felt real but I need to make sure because I need to cancel at a different school I got into. MXC has always been my first choice

I had went and brought my high school transcripts to the registrar months ago. I hope they evaluated them or whatever. I bought an extra copy just in case but I would hate to give another copy. If you are attending college already, don't you need proof of high school diploma/GED or prior college courses to enroll in colleg level classes anyways?
My CPR expires in September, so I'm going to renew it now in the summer before it expires. Anyone going to do their CPR as well? I've always gotten it renewed at my jobs, not sure which place to go. I asked specifically if our CPR has to be from a specific organization (Red Cross or American Heart Association) and was told no it doesn't matter. Not sure where to sign up but want to do so soon bc those classes do fill up in summer time.
