Malcolm X Fall 2016 (CCCSON)

Published

Hey Everyone,

Long time lurker here!

I made a promise to myself. The only way that I will ever make an Allnurses account, is when I apply to nursing school. Well, that time has finally arrived, and I just finished submitting my application to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. I clicked on that submit button like a boss!

Good luck to everyone who applied.

I got my acceptance letter at about 1pm. My last name starts with a B. But don't be discouraged if you haven't heard anything yet, they may not be done sending them out yet. Congratulations to everyone!

It seems like to me we go all three days

Thanks that is how I read it, but that seems like a lenthy orientation in comparison to a few other schools. I guess we will get more details soon.

Yeah I read it as all three days as well. That's a long three days lol. But maybe that's a good thing. Some schools only give people a few hours one day and that's all. I'm so excited! I'm assuming we will receive more info next week about the immunizations, physical, and drug test requirements? I just want to make sure that I get everything done on time!

I thank God I just got my acceptance letter too! Congrats everyone

Yes I'm sure there is more info to come about those additional requirements. I'm sure CPR is one as well, and I am going to go ahead and get my scheduled to complete that. I work full time so I need to start knocking things out as soon as possible.

Do we really have to send in our high school transcripts??? I originally transferred my associates degree from Morton college. And just called my high school and they're closed... 🤔...

I emailed the person who sent us the acceptance email about the high school transcripts & BNA certication. Havent got a response back yet. I have an associates degree too & wonder if the transcripts are really needed.

I went today and i asked about the transcripts the lady said no since im in city colleges and i turned in my certificates showing i completed and passed the cna

I asked about this, I was told if you transferred into any CCC you will NEED your transcripts. If you did that, then they have them on file already and don't need them. Because you started at Morton, you will need to turn in the transcripts, unless you've already done so. I also asked about orientation. We have to attend all 3 days. =/

Since I graduated from a CCC & took the BNA through a CCC as well, should I be ok without the transcripts?

So this morning I received a denial email. Their reasoning was I didn't meet the math and English requirement. I took those at another school and I submitted my transcripts but the courses were never added to my peoplesoft account. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Please make sure you get your TRANSCRIPTS EVALUATED and make sure the classes appear on the peoplesoft account. Again, I was misinformed by a malcolm x registration employee that as long as my transcripts were in the system then I'm ok. After getting all that straighten out I just got my acceptance email. :yeah::yes: I'm in! Can't wait to meet you all!
