Hey Everyone,
Long time lurker here!
I made a promise to myself. The only way that I will ever make an Allnurses account, is when I apply to nursing school. Well, that time has finally arrived, and I just finished submitting my application to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. I clicked on that submit button like a boss!
Good luck to everyone who applied.
I tried to register for a second class and it charged me 599 + 2429. I tried to call the business office to see if this was a mistake and the lady said it wasn't. I better go up there and see if I can talk to someone else because I thought the flat rate should cover 12 hours. Thanks so much!
I went yesterday to ask about adding classes and how much it would be, at first I was told it would be the flat rate of 2429 since I'm in the nursing program. I didn't believe this so I went to ask someone else from financial aid they said the same thing and asked someone else to make sure. So 3 people told me if I took other classes it would be free. I go to the business office and they tell me no it will be added on I also asked the guy from registrar and he said it's not free because I'm taking classes that are not part of the nursing program. Over all it was a hassel hearing different answers from people that work a few feet from each other, no communication which I'm not surprised.
As far as your extra classes, I took the extra class for free last fall and I was not Charged. unless they have a written policy change, you should be able to take the class. The way I found out about it was when they e-mailed me saying that It was free! If they don't have a written policy change, they have to honor it.
Hey is anyone taking Neal's evening classes? Anytime I go on CCC website I am prompted to buy 3 more books on top of our main nursing textbook. Is that required?
I am taking the day classes, and I am constantly prompted to buy more on the ccc homepage. The nursing funds book is required, but most of the other books say they are optional aside from 2 of them (they say required). I bought them, but if I find out from the professor that they are not required I will be returning them. My issue is this uniform store, they still haven't called me about the uniforms I ordered two weeks ago.. so I hope they'll be ready soon.
I just called and they are behind so it may take 10-14 days to get uniforms.Great
So can we get a 10-14% discount on our orders?
This is starting to feel like a hidden-camera tv show. Why is everyone playing with us??
Still very thankful for this opportunity, but we are going to show up to class out of uniform, not knowing if our registration went through, completely unprepared, and the clinical coordinator won't return any of my messages to verify that I properly gave her all my forms.
I think this is our initial "test."
