Malcolm X College City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing - Spring 2026

Published

Hello everyone! I wanted to start this thread for those of us applying to the Malcolm X College ADN Program for Spring 2026. This can be a place where we share updates on applications and requirements, ask questions, exchange information, and support each other along the way. I'm really looking forward to connecting with you all and going through this journey together. 🌷

Hey all! The good thing about this delay is in its uniformity. Though it is disturbing, we should keep hope alive. I derive my confidence that I will make it majorly because I got Director Denial in Fall 2026.

Yes hope is still alive!! Also, if you don't mind me asking, do u know why they gave u a director denial? I'm scared of being denied.

Priority is given based on the time you pass your TEAS. I passed my TEAS about two weeks before the deadline. The program is highly competitive. Too many qualified applicants but limited slot.

Do anyone know how they select people into the program? Is it higher TEAS scores or what exactly? Are you guys applying for ADN or LPN?? Good Luck to ALL !

What do we suppose to do with the Cook County Form ?

From what I heard at the nursing info session, as long as you pass the TEAS exam and have all your documents in on time, that's what really matters. Last cycle, I passed the TEAS but didn't get accepted because of the issue with my paperwork. I asked if I should retake the exam, and they said it's fine as long as you pass. I went ahead and retook it for a higher score, just for peace of mind.

Nice. Do you know what to do with the Cook County form ?

I just filled out mine then my doctor signed and stamped it.

"First come, first serve" If there are 200 slots, the first 200 to pass their TEAS and completed all other requirements will make it, irrespective of their TEAS scores.

What if we have all documents ready, but they have not reviewed it yet. Do we count in the first 200 slots?

Yes

Yes

That's always been my concern, I thought all the documents had to be marked as completed by them to be qualified. But if that's not the case, I can finally have some peace of mind 😆

No worries, more emphasis on when you pass your TEAS .
