Hey guys! My name’s Aminah and I’m gearing up to apply to Malcolm X’s Fall 2021 nursing program (woo-hoo!). Previous Malcolm X forums have been super helpful with giving me an idea of the program/ preparing me to apply so I wanted to start one for Fall 2021! 

I believe the application cycle begins January 4th. Would love to get in contact with other applicants! Have you taken the TEAS already? Do you still have a prereq to complete? Let’s chat ?.

I got the titers last year so I'm not sure if they will accept that. I tried reaching out to someone in the nursing program but no response yet (you know how it is). I'm just trying to get these documents done asap.

when you got the titers, we’re your blood levels in the range needed for immunity after? If so, then that’s fine. I got titers and I wasn’t immune yet so I had to go get the vaccines and then another titer to prove immunity.

has anyone completed their background check and medical document for nursing program Spring 2022 for Malcolm x college? Please I need information on how to get it done. Thanks

I have half the medical document stuff done and in the process of getting background check done. What did you need help with?

I just want to ask if we are doing the medical from outside and then upload it to castle branch? And is it the same background check or we actually going to order the background check on castle branch?

All the medical tests and titers are form outside. You’re just uploading everything to castle branch. 
 

background check - I had to email Sylvia about this cuz I wasn’t sure either. You have to do the order package for MN60 for background check on castle branch.

Hey! I have skills lab Mondays at 10:30am, lecture Tuesdays at 12:00pm and clinicals on Wednesdays at 6:30am.

Labs/lectures (okon) on Tuesday and clinicals on Fridays 6:30 to 12:30

Quick question! Are they strict about the scrubs? Do the scrub bottoms have to be from the specific place they mentioned in the application/admission packet?

No, they can be any navy blue scrub bottoms; joggers are popular.
