Members are discussing issues with enrolling in specific nursing courses, particularly N151, due to seats being closed and unavailable for registration. Some members are experiencing frustration with the enrollment process, while others are speculating about additional class options being added in the future. There is also confusion about the registration process and whether permission codes are required for enrollment.
Hi everyone!
I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?
If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.
Let's use this thread to support each other and share insights as we work through the application process. I'm excited to hear from everyone and hope we can all navigate this journey together. Good luck to all future nurses applying for Fall 2025!

Thank you! hope to see you as well. They had to start sending the offers out not too long ago bc I took a nap around 8-9 and there was no update. I didn't get an email. I just did my 100th routine check of the day on the portal

OK thanks for the timeline. Hopefully I get a result this weekend or next week. I've been applying since 2021.

Congratulations to you as well 🎉 I haven't actually tried to enroll but I do have the class in my shopping cart. I feel like we have to wait until they give us the green light to enroll. The system probably isn't recognizing us just yet, so there has to be something they have to do before it allows us to enroll.
