Malcolm X College ADN Program - Fall 2025 Applicants: Let's Connect!

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing issues with enrolling in specific nursing courses, particularly N151, due to seats being closed and unavailable for registration. Some members are experiencing frustration with the enrollment process, while others are speculating about additional class options being added in the future. There is also confusion about the registration process and whether permission codes are required for enrollment.

Hi everyone!

I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?

If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.

Let's use this thread to support each other and share insights as we work through the application process. I'm excited to hear from everyone and hope we can all navigate this journey together. Good luck to all future nurses applying for Fall 2025!

I reached out to the nursing committee. I was told we do not have to wear our lab jackets or stethoscopes for orientation. Only the required scrub color ceil / baby blue for LPNs and navy blue for ADN.

Oh wow. My acceptance packet definitely says Royal Blue for LPN 🙃🥴

No, I believe you're correct! Ceil Blue is for CNA STUDENTS, Royal Blue for LPN, and Navy Blue for ADN!

Wowww. Not they giving out misinformation 🤔 I only asked about the lab coat and those were the colors she sent back. I'm an ADN student so I knew my colors from the jump but now im questioning if I need my coat or not because clearly she's confused!!

I saw some people have received their clinical info but I still haven't. Has anybody else in the ADN not received a location yet?

Has anyone received any information on whether or not we need to show up to our clinical location or the school for our clinical day the first day?

I sent an email today and received a response stating that we need to make sure all castle branch items are completed for the clinical site to be assigned. It also stated that the first clinical will be at the school but so would reach out to your clinical instructor or Mrs. Regina Flowers.

did anyone else receive an email saying that their clinical selection was full and would need to re-enroll to a different class section?

is there anyone else who hasn't received their clinical site? I've emailed multiple people. no responses. I'm in compliance so I don't really see the hold up....

What section are u in? I also haven't received my clinical site but I know who my clinical instructor is. I emailed and they said my clinical instructor will reach out and let me know. I'm in AE/AE3X and AE3C.

Hi, I'm trying to apply for spring26, but I'm confused with the Cook County health form. The packet said to hold on to the TB test until accepted into the program. Does that mean I don't need to upload the cook county health form and leave it incomplete on CastleBranch? Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello! It is better to start a new trend for Nursing Spring 2026, people here are already in Nursing school, may not have time to respond to you. Good luck.
