Members are discussing issues with enrolling in specific nursing courses, particularly N151, due to seats being closed and unavailable for registration. Some members are experiencing frustration with the enrollment process, while others are speculating about additional class options being added in the future. There is also confusion about the registration process and whether permission codes are required for enrollment.
Hi everyone!
I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?
If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.
Let's use this thread to support each other and share insights as we work through the application process. I'm excited to hear from everyone and hope we can all navigate this journey together. Good luck to all future nurses applying for Fall 2025!
Do you guys think they'll still be admitting more people into the RN program? Mine still says viable candidate. I'm not sure if it has to do with final grades. I got an A this semester for my classes but they're still in progress of being submitted. I just wonder how many more seats are left if any.

I am wondering the same thing! For the RN application I had everything done in February, I was under the impression that they favored candidates who had their application completed earlier in the process.

I'm sure they will. Offers started going out late Friday evening, so I can see them sending out more plus the start of LPN offers very soon.
Hey guys,
I have been following this silently. I applied last round and didn't get in. I completed my pre reqs in San Francisco end of 2023! But, I had to retake chem and bio classes with MX because they wouldn't accept what I had taken. I had to do the CNA course and work full time (7 days a week). I completed all of the packet immunizations last minute- because I had so much going on I didn't realize how long things would take. After all of that I still got denied. This journey has been LONG and stressful. I retook my TEAS a few weeks ago to improve my chances. I got into an expensive BSN program and accepted because I was so ready to start/burnt out but I was hoping I could get into this program. Today I finally got in. I am shocked. They only give a couple days to accept so I'm sure they will send out more offers because I had no clue and was driving myself nuts checking daily. Girls and guys- even if this journey is long don't give up. You got it! You're worth it! I hope the best for everyone.
