Malcolm X College ADN Program - Fall 2025 Applicants: Let's Connect!

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing issues with enrolling in specific nursing courses, particularly N151, due to seats being closed and unavailable for registration. Some members are experiencing frustration with the enrollment process, while others are speculating about additional class options being added in the future. There is also confusion about the registration process and whether permission codes are required for enrollment.

Hi everyone!

I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?

If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.

Let's use this thread to support each other and share insights as we work through the application process. I'm excited to hear from everyone and hope we can all navigate this journey together. Good luck to all future nurses applying for Fall 2025!

Yeah I think I better chill. Checking 5 times a min isn't gonna help me out. But let me ask the forum a question, just to gauge opinion. I applied for the Spring 25' and got in but couldn't attend due to work constraints. I emailed them this to this if I can be deferred for the fall but they said just reapply for fall because they do not do deferment. My thing is I hope they don't think I ws not taking it serious after I literally applied every year since 2020. Should I be nervous or I am overthinking it. I am quitting my full time job this year btw.

Honestly, I don't think you should be worried about it. I mean I've never been in the program before but if I was working in admissions I would appreciate your honesty about your situation. You being honest probably gave them the chance to admit another student. Some people will realize that the program schedule isn't the best for them and still accept and take that seat from someone who can do it. I think it honestly would only look bad if you were admitted to the program before and wasn't committed. For example, you missed a lot of clinicals.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm reallly hoping they admit me for the fall. I don't want to have to look back and regret not quitting my job and just starting.

Anyone hear anything back yet? LOL getting nervous 😬

Same. I just checked and nothing yet. I was wondering if anyone else heard back yet as well. 😩 I wish they had a date that emergency would know by.

still nothing 🥲 hopefully we hear something by the end of the week.

Honestly, I'm going a little crazy. This is so anxiety inducing. I'm overthinking everything. It doesn't look like anyone else has registered for nursing 101. So I guess they're still deliberating? IDK. Maybe it's more applicants than normally but gosh. This is stressful.

I reached out yesterday inquiring if there's a date to expect a determination on the application status. Today I was informed that admissions committee is still reviewing applicants and to just continue to check the selection application status.

Good to know I'm not the only one 😭 a single application has me thinking my life over! If I check the portal again the whole site might crash.

Has anyone received a decision yet or does anyone know if they're still reviewing applications?

Still listed as "Viable candidate"

Same! 😣 Has anyone tried contacting the school?
