Malcolm X -City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing- Spring 2023

Anyone applying for Malcolm X College for Spring 2023? Figured I'd start a discussion. I applied to the RN program and am waiting for them to update my cumulative GPA, background check, and medical document submission. 

Very true. Nobody is on the same page at all. I could have sworn as well they said the titers did not matter as long as it was completed before the start of the program which is in January. My clinic didn’t have any available appointments until Dec 20th. I had to go to Walgreens to get another shot of Hep B . Didn’t know if it was three series or two. I went with the three hoping they don’t bring up anymore mess about these vaccines.

So I spoke with the clinical director and all my medical documents are completed but they have not marked it completed in the student portal. Later I received and email saying I could receive an admission letter once I complete medical documents and a back ground check. Both are already done and at this point I don't know what else to do. I emailed my advisor for help

After all the back and forth I finally received and offer to the LPN program. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Congrats!! I’m still working on trying to a offer for the ADN program. I’ve uploaded my 2nd Hep B yesterday so I’m hoping Castle Branch will review it quick.

I feel like they’re going sending out lpn acceptance letters  first. It’s looking like next week we might get ours.

Wondering should I accept the LPN or just wait until CastleBranch reviews my Hep B upload for the ADN program. I only have until tomorrow to accept ?

Have you tried zooming the nursing department? I’d definitely say how urgent this is. They’re holding you back from making a decision
