Malcolm X -City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing- Spring 2023

Anyone applying for Malcolm X College for Spring 2023? Figured I'd start a discussion. I applied to the RN program and am waiting for them to update my cumulative GPA, background check, and medical document submission.

Likewise I have been offered a seat into the LPN program and my RN application still says incomplete

Right…my mind still racing because it feels like a gamble if I accept the LPN will it ruin my chances of getting accepted into the RN program.  Have until 10 of December to make a decision

I applied for LPN and no update yet. I checked my castle branch, and my medical documents has changed to compliant so obviously they did review them, but they have not updated my portal. That is the only thing still marked incomplete

So I spoke with the department chairwoman, and she said that a lot of us are seeing incomplete because we are not in compliance with Castle branch medical records. She said make sure all your shots are up to date. Your titers and everything! I haven't had my second hep b shot so after that she said my profile will need to be updated and everything will need to complete before the 15th. I am so happy I got answers! I will be getting my shot today

I have to wait for 4 more weeks to do my hep b repeat titer so I really hope they don’t reject me for that. Especially because the FAQs in the admissions packet says it’s fine as long as it’s in progress.

I am marked compliant in caste branch so I don't know what the holdup is in my application.

My items finally changed to complete after emailing .

Also, I spoke with ---------------------- from the department and they said my drug test wasn’t complete and to upload my may 2022 drug screen from the BNA program… I told her we were specifically told not to do a drug screen until we received an acceptance letter.  After a brief back and forth, my items said complete. Ugh no one is on the same page in that office
