secon semester sn hubby can't keep the phone on the hook. he has study group at our house q sun, by the pool. also he carries a 4.0 gpa. never at a loss for friends, study partners, etc.

school started 2 days ago and already people that are repeating this semester were told to "get to know" him.

how nice! you must be proud of him. you keeping the "night light" burning to help him study too? lots of love :)

I have a few friends and we are taking all pre-reqs and planning classes togehter because we are great study buddies....

I am here. Well at least in spirit. I check the bb's but i don't have much time right now to chat. We had a four hour lecture which is what we have every week. I am off to type my notes. be back later.

"I am new at my school. Most of the other students all knew each other from pre-reqs. It is hard sometimes for me because everyone takes their breaks with their friends."

Val, me too. It is hard, if not impossible, to break into the already-established cliques. I was sitting in class last night as other students were coming in and waving to and sitting by their friends, and I knew no one and it felt a little weird. But there are a few people who are new like me, so maybe we'll all hook up. Who knows. It's only been one day for me but I have made an effort to talk to some of my classmates, just small talk, but it's a start.

Yes, I have made new friends. I just started a new school and I knew only 1 person, a guy I used to go to school with. We have even already made study groups. We were put in groups in one class, but a new friend was in my group and I am sure I will make friends with the other 2 girls. Most of us are in Patho (even if in different sections) so we can lament about it together as well!:D

I am busting out with friends all over the place today. It has been great. I have met so many people that it is hard to keep track of everyone but when we split inot our groups then i think it will be better.

My class was the first nursing class in our school post 9/11/01 and it's a pretty special group. It is tremendously cohesive and we are formidable group. The instructors respect us as we can make their days go fine or like hell LOL.

I've made so many great friends in my group throughout the last year. About four or five have become best friends of mine and I seriously can't imagine my life without them. We make this program bearable, palatable for each other. If I was alone, I don't know if I could make it through to the finish line you know?

I talk to everyone but don't have any real close buddies.. the girl that sits next to me in Fundamentals falls asleep during lecture, or tries to,and she failed the first test so I don't know how much longer we will be with us.

no, i asked her, she is not working. she only falls asleep during lectures. she said she has to leave at 7:30 am with her carpool so maybe she isn't getting enough sleep.

we were watching a video the other day in class and the instructor came over and nudged her to "wake up".. maybe she has a sleep disorder? should i nudge her myself? i never thought of that, i hope she doesn't do it anymore !! she does it at least once during every class:eek:

marie, i guess if she isn't studying at home, waking her up, will not matter. if it were me, i would at least ask if she is studying and if she says no, i would not wake her, however, i would want to know why was she wasting her time; although this wouldn't be any of my business, i would inquire. :)
