I have been thinking of traveling to Maine. I have been traveling for about 3 years and have an RV. I would love any tips from those that have traveled there. I realy like smaller towns or rural settings. I welcome all advice.

I have worked at several hospitals in Maine and I was treated well. It is night and day in terms of working conditions compared to working in the low paying regions of the country.
I like the small town life. Where would you suggest?

EMMC in Bangor. Big hospital, small town (8,000), close to Acadia NP and the coast.
Mount Desert Island in Bar Harbor and Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick are good to travelers. Maybe I'll see you up there this Summer because I would go back without hesitation and I probably will.

I am also hoping on going to Maine this upcoming spring. Anybody know which travel companies find jobs up there? I'm currently with American Mobile, but they said needs are usaully spotty in Maine. Any suggestions would be great.
RTG and Sagent seem to always have many New England contracts.
Looks like I'll be in Montana for a good portian of the summer. I'm crazy I know, but I wouldn't mind being there in the fall/winter as well.

If considering Maine in the future look for Houlton Maine. It's a critical access hospital in a small town up by the Canadian border. I found the staff very friendly and its a lovely area in the summer.
