Hamilton. Love Billings. Spent many a night in that fair city.
  2. Run, not walk, but run away from that offer. You can do much better.
  3. I am an ADN RN and worked on an oncology floor right out of school, so that statement is untrue. A lot depends on the manager.
  4. Every canyon was started by a determined drop of water. Hang in there. Try other methods of study. Word association, etc. Good luck. :)
  5. You are kidding, right? Too old? I have an ADN which I accomplished at the ripe age of 43. I am now in a BSN program at the age of 48 (4.0 GPA). Planning on going on and getting my NP. Will be 52 yo. And your wondering if 22 is too old? Nope, darling, it ain't.
  6. NZ is a place that interests me. Love what I have read about the culture and geography.
  7. Maybe she could do PRN? Just a thought. Good luck.
  8. Just ask for a different recruitor with that company. I was lucky and got one that I jelled with from the start and have been with her for 3 yrs now. Hang in there.

Looks like I'll be in Montana for a good portian of the summer. I'm crazy I know, but I wouldn't mind being there in the fall/winter as well.
  10. I agree with you. A lot depends on the attitude that the traveler has. I have always been treated like staff because I go there with the attitude of "I'm here to help you." Have I been given crappy assignments? Yes, but no more than the staff is. I've had only one person say somrthing about my pay and after I answered her, she understood.

I like the small town life. Where would you suggest?

I have been thinking of traveling to Maine. I have been traveling for about 3 years and have an RV. I would love any tips from those that have traveled there. I realy like smaller towns or rural settings. I welcome all advice.
  13. Buy used. Only way to go. get the same RV for about half the price. I sold RV's for several years. 60% markup on a lot of them. Been traveling with an RV for 3 years now and I wouldn't have it any other way. Having said that, it's not for everyone.
  14. I have a 30' travel trailer. Pd $14k and it's paid off. RV park lot rent $375-$500 mth including utilities. Tax deductions out the wazzou. No motel room between assignments. Pull it with a 3/4 suburban. It's not stressful if you take your time. When I'm traveling to another assignment and I get hungery, I pull in to where ever and cook whatever I want to eat. Oh, and I travel by myself. Insurance is nominal as well.

Depends on what you like. Big city or small town. Outdoor life or clubbing. My favorites have been Reno (St. Marys) and Tulsa (St. Johns). I'm a small town person, so I enjoyed Cheyenne WY as well. I'm headed to Montana next. My kind of country.
