Macomb Community College 2017

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this site and I plan on applying for Macomb's nursing program Feb, 2017!

I would love to hear from anyone else applying. I'm very nervous and excited.

So our start dates will be on the letters as well? Because I thought that wasn't sent out until June/July

Wishful thinking. I talked to someone in counseling Monday and she said they would go out this week for sure.

Does anyone know how many people applied this year?

I logged into my Macomb and began to scroll through contact person's names because like everyone else on here I'm sure you feel your wait has been long enough. I found a Karen who is the Manager over the nursing program who seemed very nice she read an email stating the nursing acceptance letters were mailed out on Wednesday which is the same answer I got from some one in the advising office, she also told me to start checking my mailbox and if I didn't receive anything by Monday give her a call. There were a total of 329 students ranked, at least that's what I was told last week. I don't understand why it would take longer this time than last year it's not like there are a huge amount of students applying. I hope that since she was not someone just randomly answering the phone that her facts are correct, I feel like the wait has been long enough and it's time for what we've waited for to be released. God bless everyone fingers crossed for Friday.

I couldn't agree more it just depends on who you speak with because we were told that we wouldn't be ranked until May, only they truly know for real, its obvious they don't really reveal anything to students.

If you look back at previous classes for nursing those students never waited that long after ranking was over no longer than 4-5 days. No less than 3.

Karen is the same person with whom I had spoken last Friday. If she said that the letters were mailed out on Wednesday, then I would take her words as truth. After all, she is one of the two people who are working on the ranking. Keep in mind though, depending on when they hit the mail, they may not have actually been picked up by the carrier until yesterday. And in Michigan, it's oftentimes a 2-day transit via USPS First Class Mail even for local distances. I know it seems odd that it would take 2 days, but that's what I have been noticing for any mailed correspondence from the college (Dean's List, letters of accomplishment, etc). I just need to stop thinking about it until Monday. Hopefully we'll get a good answer on Monday.

I guess no letter today. My mailman never text me that it was here :(
