Let's share our experiences !!! I just wanted to start a page for those who are getting ready for Macomb Nursing program 2014.
I actually applied this year(2013) for the first time. Unfortunately I was't accepted, but I am hoping to be accepted next year! I want to share my experiences, and meet people who are also applying.
I have completed all the prerequisites, and I plan to retake the Hesi test sometime this year.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the questions in the book were not at all covered in the "review." I don't even know what to think about the HESI, honestly, lol. I know someone mentioned that it is taken on the computer, but is it multiple choice or are there fill-in answers too? And how soon do we find out our score?
I will be taking my HESI on Wednesday, hopefully the school won't be closed!
Hi kuvZooheej yes I feel the same way I don't know wat to think n that's scares me only having a 3.47 smh but hopefully we do and get into the program I will b taking the test wed as well if the schools open if not buys us more study time lol
I have a 3.47 as well, so I'm hoping to score well on the HESI. If it is anything like the book, I am in trouble for the grammar section, lol. I forgot that the English language was so much more complicated than it seems, though I vaguely remember learning all of the different terms back in elementary school through middle school.
Kuvzooheej - The only section that had any fill in the blank was math (I took it last January), which has some fill in the blank and the rest is multiple choice. As for your score, you'll get it as soon as you're done.
@kuvzooheej OMG I am thinking the same thing lol yes I speak English but I have forgotten all of the small details lol who ever thought the language that we use everyday is so complicated smh and I took English at macomb 2x and just cannot get higher then a B even got a b+ in a&p over the summer lol but I'm not gonna stress it there will be next year if I don't get in this time there will be next yr room for improvement although my counselor told me next yr applicants will have new rules such as they use your most up to date GPA IN your last courses took or sum like that
@rblmn, thank you for your information! I'm glad it's mostly multiple choice, lol. And I'm glad we don't have to wait for our scores x)
@Deanna, I know, right? I know if I don't get in this year, I'm going to work on my bachelor's degree that I'm 30 credits away from finishing at Wayne State, T_T.
Ill prob be there about 815 since the latest we can get there is 830 I live like 2min drive from school but I'm hoping they won't close it a lot of grade school districts are closed 2mrw so I'm hoping we are open !!!
