Buy the hesi exam book from macomb. It is 30 dollars. You do not need to study the chemistry part or the physics part. This is the only thing anybody I have talked to has used to study, and it worked for us :) it literally dumbs down EVERYTHING you need to know.

Have any August starts picked up their huge syllabus packet yet? I just happened to stop by the admin office today to take in proof of CPR certification & they told me I should have received an email letting me know to come in to pick up the packet, but I never got an email. Thankfully I had a reason to go there, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it!

It came in the mail with the syllabus for 1165. It said two weeks before the start of class you can pick it up at the office. Was actually available sooner if you asked for it. If you didn't get that in the mail then I would go back up there. There were a couple important pages.

I agree, buy the current copy of the HESI study guide book; it covers more of the A&P section of the exam. It also helps if you've taken A&P recently as well. I actually bought the e-book online and it works just as good. Try using the website as well, they are very helpful. https://evolve.elsevier.com/studentlife/hesi.html If you've taken the HESI before, it'll have all your previous exams listed and what ones you got wrong so that you know what to study more of.

Has anyone sewn their patches onto their scrubs yet? I just wanna make sure I put them on the right way

Yes. Left arm "two inches below the shoulder" I have a size xs scrub top and for me it was right in the middle. I just used a needle and thread.

So 1175 and 1165 are both labs for the first semester? Is it labs that we need to wear all white shoes for or is that just in the hospital setting? Ugh I feel so unprepared.

So I was just trying to figure out my GPA to apply in Feb. (thought it was gonna be a 3.55) I'm getting a 3.47 for all the pre-reqs. I'm hoping with a really good Hesi score I will have a decent shot. Any light on this?? Starting to feel down.
