I attended the Dallas workshop Oct 30-31;it was awesome. I am so glad I decided to go. Lynn gave us valuable strategies to about how to get in,get it done, and pass. I appreciate how she didn't sugar coat things;she was honest about what we need to do to be successful on that weekend. She gave us valuable insight about what to expect so we can be prepared. As a nurse of 13 years, she gave me just what I needed, information about the CPNE structure & how to avoid common pitfalls.
I spoke with so many "first timers" and repeat test takers. I needed to hear the stories of what truly goes on during that weekend. Now it seems so real. It was amazing.

Excellent!
When and where do you test? Or are in date-waiting limbo?
My CPNE is 12/19/08-12/21/08. A lot of students at the workshop who applied in August or earlier have already rec'd a test date. It took me all of 6 months. Did you get your date yet?

I passed already, thank goodness. I take NCLEX-RN 11/24.
Excellent! That is wonderful; I am happy for you. Where did you test? I am sure you will pass the NCLEX.

I failed the first time.
A LOT of people - including me - got killed on IV push. Remember, too slow is better than too fast.

Lynn is awesome!! I did the CPNE THREE times (1st failure was nerves, 2nd was a documentation error and misphrasing a nursing dx statement during Eval phase) and she was there for me throughout the whole thing, every step of the way. I passed on my third attempt with no repeats.

The IVP killed me-passed everything else! Math freaks me out. But I am ready now! Simple formula, non programable calculator...
