Lvns working in clinics

Hello there! This is for lvns/lpns that work or have worked in clinics. I'm currently looking for my first lvn job. I really REALLY don't want to work in nursing homes, I'm a CNA in one and it's just not where I would like to be. I'd rather work at a clinic.

I've called a few places and some don't employ lvns.

What other types of clinics/specialties can I look into? I need some more opinions because I feel as though all clinics are going to say no, and my last option would be NH which I don't want. I'm starting to lose hope. Idk where else to look.

What type of clinic do you guys work in?

What do you do? Duties?

Do you like it?

Are you the only lvn/lpn in the clinic?

In my area LPN/LVNs are used heavy in specialty clinics such as Dialysis, GI, Dermatology, Plastics, Women Health, Free/Public access clinics and outpatient surgery centers. Homehealth and hospice also heavily use LPN/LVNs

I work at a School. It is a different pace, but honestly it is a pretty easy job. So I would check into LVN jobs around your area.

I work in an outpatient clinic for the Indian Health Service. I love it and would never go back to LTC.

I work in ENT and I've also worked in allergy/asthma. Most specialties will use LPNs and PCP will use MAs. Some school districts use LPNs in schools too.

I currently work in a county public health clinic that does TB testing and treatment, and also the refugee clinic that provides initial health screenings and vaccinations.

Before I worked here, I worked inpatient hospice for a year.
