I am a new grad RN. I just realized my LVN license is expiring.
What did you LVNs turned RNs do with your LVN license?
Did you pay the fees and fully renewed it or put it on inactive status?
In your state, are there pros to keeping the LVN license in addition to the RN license?
For you California folks, is there a way I can "retire" my license without paying a thing? I am looking at the renewal form and there are fees with every option. I will call the BVNPT on Monday. California is broke and all but damn....
For the people who have let the LVN license lapse, is there some sort of note on your record saying that payment is overdue, the license is delinquent etc. etc.? I poked around the CA BVNPT website and there are all these special terms that pop up that describe the license in a negative fashion.
I realize I am overthinking this lol.
When I visit the California BVNPT website and look up my LVN license number, it says that my license is delinquent. When I visit the Oklahoma BON website and look up my LPN license, it says that it has lapsed. For the people who have let the LVN license lapse, is there some sort of note on your record saying that payment is overdue, the license is delinquent etc. etc.? In some states (like mine, Connecticut), you are not allowed to hold both an LPN and RN license at the same time. It's either one or the other.
