West Coast University is a private trade school that offers an LVN-to-RN bridge, but it is extremely expensive.
San Joaquin Valley College is another trade school that offers an LVN-to-RN bridge program and is much less expensive.
does san joaquin valley college require completed GE at a CC?

yeah saw that and wasnt quite sure if "Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater on all post-secondary coursework" meant GE or not. im guessing so?
also, west coast university doesnt seem to have their lvn-rn bridge program on their website anymore. are you sure they still have it?
That should be for the pre-reqs only.. the science classes (actual nursing classes) are usually required to be higher. For example most CC it is 2.5 GPA or higher now.
thanks
can anyone confirm that west coast university still has the lvn-rn bridge program?

West Coast --last I heard-- charges $120,000 for the program.
Any community college will require the nursing student to get an AA degree --that is why it is called an ADN,
Los Angeles Trade Tec is a trade school, but it is part of the Los Angeles Community College district and when you graduate LVN to RN you get your ADN.
There are bridge courses, but hard to find as many colleges do not want LVNs because they do not know the quality of the school the LVN was trained in.
You may want to go to the Calif Board of Reg Nursing and see what schools they accredit in the state.

West Coast University no longer has there lvn to rn bridge program. I attend ACC right now and we share a campus with them, thats what sold me on the lvn program, they pretty much gaurenteed us a spot at the west coast bridge program, then right after we started and they took our check they informed us west coast isn't going to offer it anymore....typical private schools i guess. It messed up alot of students, it was def. the selling point of acc, a promised spot at west coast. good luck finding a school! :)

There were several posts here from people involved with WCU. They did discontinue their LVN to BSN program. Now they only have a BSN program and the current cost is up to the vicinity of $132,000.
does LATTC require pre-reqs?
As far as I know, they do. Go to their website and check it out. You are pretty much going to find that most, if not all, RN programs will require certain prereqs or coreqs.
