LVN Programs Inland Empire

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

Need some feedback on LVN programs near me.

I have researched numerous LVN programs in my area. I have seen positive and negative reviews about every school. So bottom line it boils down to has any graduated or knows someone who graduated from any of the programs below:

North-West LVN program Riverside

Career Care Institute LVN program Moreno Valley

Concorde LVN Program San Bernardino

Summit LVN Program Colton

And basically, I want to know if you did graduate from anyone of these programs were you able to do an LVN to BSN bridge program. And any insight on getting a job as an LVN?

Thanks ?

Tasha are you asking me? I went to Bethesda in Anaheim. Horrible pass rate, unorganized. Wish I would have checked that before but I passed my nclex first try on min questions so I guess it was ok. It was the cheapest private school I saw in so cal. Price was I believe 16k at the time.

Wow that is expensive compared to most today. Are you currently in a lvn-rn bridge?

Really? That's the cheapest one around here that's private with no wait list. You will be shocked what some lvn students pay. One of my coworkers paid 32k for her lvn. Not in the lvn-rn bridge program yet still doing pre reqs. If I'm able to get all the classes in my local community college I should be done by spring '15. Do you guys recommend any lvn-adn bridge programs?

Hey Im from the IE :) I know you said you have researched alot of LVN programs but just making sure you didn't miss the adult schools. Their pass rates are usually better and the cost is wayyyy less. They usually require cna cert as a prereq though which is usually offered at the same school. Alot of my nursey friends/coworkers went to summit. When i graduated in 2011 i didnt have a problem finding a job in the IE. Lots of nursing homes around will hire new grads and if you like working with kids their is a company that cares for children with disabilities in a group home setting in riverside. That was my second nursing job and I sure do miss it. Good luck on your search for a program!

BTW I went to redlands adult school which is now CRY-ROP. I dont know how much the school has changed but the teachers were excellent when i was there. san bernardino adult school was my second choice, its only a couple thousand. My program was more like 5k if i remember right.

Nice. I know nowadays Lvn programs ar private schools are 32K + and seem to go higher every couple years.

I've appliet la puente adult school and have to retest friday because I've been a chosen alternate, so we'll see how it goes. Its $7K with financial aid/pell grants.

Rrdlands adult school I've heard stopped having the lvn program a long time ago. SB adult school is still active. I believe you have to have your CNA and have taken medical math as pre-reqs to enroll in their lvn program.

I'm not too sure of any lvn-Adn programs in CA. You should post a question on here maybe? I was researching lvn-adn programs in TN, where I possibly will move to in a year, and their program I believe is

9 months to a year.

I think once I get my LVn, I would like to work at home as a case manager but I know you need experience. I met someone who told me she got her start as a new grad doing case management at a place in la puente.

Work from home as an lvn?!? That would be nice!

Wouldn't it? Lol. That's the goal.

My mom, who is a RN, used to work for a company that had mostly lvn's working at home doing case management. She eventually left there and now work from home for Aetna as worker's comp.

Lvn's can also work in a cosmetic surgery setting too I believe.

I am going to American Career College its 42000 and its the part time program still feels like full time

I wish I could have done more research ...and gone to a different school

42000 for LVN? Wowzer. Hopefully you can qualify or some financial aid.

I'm looking for a study partner in the Inland Empire to prepare for the entrance exam.

Specializes in education all health specialties.

I would recommend that you check the state, BVNPT for a list of the approved schools and check the nclex passing rate . Good Luck
