LVN program at Western Career College /in sacramento ca

I'm looking into the LVN program at Western Career college but I want to make sure it is an accredited program. They also have an RN program that you could attend once you have completed the LVN, which I'm planning on pursing. Each program is a 2 year. Has anyone atteneded and graduated from WCC and had trouble finding a job or was not able to take the state board exam? I have an orrientation on Monday and I dont want to get sucked into something that may not be worth it!!

wow 42k thats alot! I live in kentucky and the private career colleges in my area at 25k at best...which I think is a lot but its the route to go if you dont want to be put on a waiting list that is at least 2 years long and just hope that you get in then its worth it in the long run i think

ashlie - where was the school you toured? the info you shared is the same as the info I have re: entrance, fees, etc.

The school i toured was kaplan college in sacramento ca.....is that the same school you are looking into plaza?

WOW! thats crazy! here i was thinking of inquiring into going to WCC for the RN program...but im not too sure if i want to now. i do have all my prerequesites done...but im not sure if i can do that program...[part time school and the rest online!] i have to be in the actual class.

also...i know that this is a LATE post...but i went to UNITEK for my LVN schooling...and i had clinicals with Charles A. Jones students at a SNF. apparently you have to be a CNA for three years and then the program is EIGHT months. i dont know how that program is ran, but i was surprised with what they were able to do. [pass meds WITHOUT their instructors...] im not one to bash a school, but i dont know how this school is accredited...or what is expected of these clinical instructors.

any updates on the WCC, Kaplan aspirees?

I'm awaiting my interview w/the Kaplan folks. Should be sometime in September. They start instruction in November.

Hey plaza!! Do you know when you have to go in and submit papers for your background check at kaplan? they had me go in yesterday and do it.

they have not said anything to me about the background check. have you had your interview yet?

if so, what did they ask?

No no interview yet. They said within the next two weeks interviews will be set up.
