Lvn Nclex Review

Published

Hello all, I'm a new member here. I'm really worried about taking my NCLEX this April 28, I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and studying. I'm really hoping to find out what the best NCLEX review book would be to study from. I have the Saunders LVN NCLEX review book, and I also took a nursing review called LifeSavers Nursing review here in San Diego.

If anyone has any advice please let me know. I'M STRESSED OUT!!!!! I feel like each time I open up the NCLEX book, I don't know anything.... THANKS:uhoh3:

Hi! I moved your post to the NCLEX Forum for better exposure.

Hey Steph,

First off, take a deep breath,,,,,,,,now let it out. Studying for the NCLEX is one of the worst things in the world as you are seeing, but you have to relax and try not to stress out over it.

To answer your question will be a difficult one because everybody gets a different set of or type of questions on the NCLEX. However, it does appear that a large number have been seeing questions pertaining to cultural issues with patients, ie; different nationalities, and how their culture and beliefs affect their nursing care.

You will find though, that a large number will be prioritizing of patients/care. Which patient is the one that you would treat first, that type of thing. I had a lot, well, no, most of mine were this type of question really, had very few medication or med calculation type, but there were some, and most of mine were pediatric and geriatric based.

My best advice is to know your systems, how they work normally, and with that knowledge you can figure out what is wrong, and determine which is the most critical patient. Also having a good general knowledge of disease processes is important as well.

Keep your head up, you made it through school, you can make it throught this one as well, just don't let it get the best of you!

Good Luck,

Dan

Thank you very much for your reply and your kind words Danfif... Okay I've taken a deep breath and.......... I've let it out. It's helping so far, but I will keep my head up!

Thanks again for the advice

Steph

Nicole95 - my friends and I went to the lifesavers nursing review in san diego and it was pretty benefical to us. they do lvn & rn nclex review. the review guy really knew the nclex stressing the way you were to go about answering questions and even told us topics to focus extra attention on like nutrition and cultural which did come up on my nclex. i don't know my nclex results yet, but i do know that taking that class had me studying the correct things. it's a three day review class and you get a binder full of review info. i do know there are other review classes in sd, but i haven't heard anything about them.

hi thanks for the reply...i just want to have more time in reviewing.3 days maybe stressful to me and i think ill take the nclex exam this october or november...

It appears that niclolette's only two posts were in this thread. Doubt you will get a response. Good luck on your NCLEX.
