You didn't send in your fee when you applied for the license from your state?
And they permitted you to get an ATT letter? Which state is this?
I am in California... I sent in $200 to actually take the test and then it is another $100 for them to issue a license once you have passed the nclex.
The RN license in California requires payment of all fees before you take the exam, not only if you pass. Sorry, can't help you with that. Did you check out their website for the CA Board of Nursing?
Yeah... I know , my sister is an RN but the LVN works different, I guess... I think it is kind of goofy myself!! But I guess if you dont pass you dont have to pay the licnese fee?? So, if if you fail the NCLEX as a RN... what happens to the license fees?? Do you get them back?? I dont know... I dont understand some of the ways that California works?? I probably never will... :rotfl:
If you fail in California, the NCLEX-RN, then you have to pay a fee of $75 in addition to the fee to Pearson-Vue to do the exam again.

Once you pass the board, you pay for the actual license and it takes 2-3 weeks to get it in the mail.
For NCLEX-PN, you pay for the application fees first then you get the ATT. The actual license( that very important piece of plastic) fee is paid once you pass the board. It's the same with RN license, if you don't pass then you have to pay for application and testing fees again. But the actual license fee is not due until the board says you can actually have it. Hope this helps:)
Yes... it does... thank you very very much!!
