yea, what's crazy is that all those books were from amazon:sstrs: And majority of the books were used except from the student workbooks etc. oh wow that is booooo lol. I believe mine is suppose to come in ten days before school starts. so around Jan 7th

Oh no really? Maybe the prices went up since nursing schools started sending out acceptance letters and people are purchasing more nursing books.. I bought mine as soon as I got acceptance letter..

Btw, if your shorter than average... good luck finding scrubs that clear the floor!!! Lol

I think it probably has to do with them wanting the newer editions. Majority of the books stayed between 14-60$ others were above 74$. What do you meannnnn ? lol are all the scrubs long? I'm 5'6, borderline 5'7, I should be ok.

Yeah! I bought my books to read ahead over Christmas break! Haha yes, the scrubs are LONG, but I'm 5'2".... I bought one set of greys anatomy at a scrub store off medical and fredericksburg. Averaged $25 for each top and bottom! That's kinda high.. but I hear greys anatomy lasts real long.. but I only got one set to try it out.. the other 2 sets I bought online at allheart.com. I know buying scrubs online is insane because its best to try them on, but they were SO CHEAP! $10 for each top and bottom. I just used the size chart they have on the website. The brand is "wink" lol, and I love how these fit better than my greys anatomy set :) I only got 3 sets cause Baptist only allows you to buy 3 patches total! Crazy right?!

Lol wow. The greys anatomy scrubs how are they? And yea that's quite expensive. :/ I haven't heard anything about patches yet. They just told us any scrubs and color and any kind of closed toe/ back shoes. I think I want to get the nursing skills and fundamentals of nursing since I know nothin on how to be a nurse.

Haha, the only experience I have in being a nurse are my 3 children when they get sick..

Yeah, I'd rather wear any color of scrubs and any color of shoes and not have to buy patches.. I had to buy navy blue scrubs, ALL WHITE tennis shoes and the patches are $3 each and I have to get them sewn on..

those books you mentioned aren't on my book list.. lol

lol. Yea, so I'm looking at some cute scrubs and patterns I'd like. Told my mom I wanted a few for Christmas :) lol omg all white?!!! I'm thinking of buy black athletic sneakers for comfort and style. It'll go with everything. lol those are the names of the classes. I want to get success in practical nursing and fundamental concepts and skills for nursing(the names of the books) lol. For your first semester how many credits are you taking?

Yup.. all white shoes, which sucked cause of course I don't own a pair like that and had to buy some.. lol

For my first semester I'm taking 18 credit hours..

VNSG 1160 - 1ch

NURA 1301 - 3 ch

VNSG 1161 - 2 ch

VNSG 1402 - 4 ch

VNSG 1227 - 2 ch

VNSG 1231 - 2 ch

VNSG 1413 - 4 ch

LVN - RN at Baptist is 3 - 4 semesters long depending on if you have the 5 general education courses done. It starts in January and May. No LVN - RN start in August.. weird huh?

oh gosh lol. I don't know if I could handle all white shoes:eek: oh ok, I found the info by accident on the website. lol. I'm thinking about doing an online lvn-rn, then rn-bsn that's why I asked. I know that lvn jobs are quite scarce in the hosp so I wanted to go for my rn then go for my bsn. If I went straight to my bsn from my lvn I'd have to make do with my lvn or monitor tech for almost two years.
