Lurie Children's New Grad Residency Fall 2017

U.S.A. Illinois

Has anyone who applied to Lurie Children's for the August/October New Grad RN positions heard anything back yet? I know the applications opened up on May 1st.

I volunteered for Child Life in the PICU at Lurie's for a little bit. I've also been placed in PICU/NICU float pool for my final clinical experience at Rush, and loving it...any other Rush students out there? :-) How about everyone else?

Anyone applied for Rush RN1 positions and heard anything too?

I haven't heard anything back yet either. I applied for the PICU, CCU, and NICU. I did my senior practicum in the PICU at Mizzou.

I called HR this morning to ask about the status of applications and the person I spoke with told me that emails for interviews have already been sent out. Bummer that they don't send rejection emails. Good luck to those of you that got an interview!

If you look back at past Lurie Residency threads, rejection e-mails are sent out.

A girl in my class who applied got a call on Thursday for an interview and was e-mailed the information today.

Do you know what unit she's interviewing for?

She is interviewing for the critical care resource team.

I spokewith a girl that I know who works there and she recommended calling HR asking about the status of your applications because she said that when she applied she got an email from one unit one week in another unit another week

So if you got an interview, they would have called by now?

I just talked to HR and they said "due to the large amount of applicants, the process takes awhile, you just have to wait until you get a call or an email"

So is there still hope for those who haven't heard? Has anyone heard from the PICU, surg/transplant/ or neuro endo?

Did those getting interviews have a change in their application status online?

Mine is still blank under the "Current Stage" section.

When i talked to HR they told me they already contacted the people they wanted and to wait for an email. (A rejection I'm assuming)
