  1. Also, does anyone know if new grads are put on straight nights? Or do new grads rotate? I couldn't figure it out... maybe it's unit-by-unit?
  2. @Panda92 I'm sorry I missed your post! HR was totally fine with me starting in October. I applied for October because I don't graduate until August, so it wasn't possible for me to start before September at the earliest. So I'll be starting Oct. 9! Any other PICU new grads?
  3. He asked if I could start in August but I can't start until October. I think calls are going out this week, too! Sending you all good thoughts :-)
  4. Jeff from HR called me- he's the person who greeted us (my group, at least) before the interview with the managers/ UD.
  5. HR called me around 12:30
  6. Calls are going out today :-) I was offered a job in the PICU!
  7. Nothing yet! Fingers crossed for us!
  8. I got a call earlier today, too! I think the recruiter could sense my surprise on the phone :-) Keep your ears out, friends!
  9. I called HR this morning to ask about the status of applications and the person I spoke with told me that emails for interviews have already been sent out. Bummer that they don't send rejection emails. Good luck to those of you that got an interview!
  10. I volunteered for Child Life in the PICU at Lurie's for a little bit. I've also been placed in PICU/NICU float pool for my final clinical experience at Rush, and loving it...any other Rush students out there? :-) How about everyone else?
  11. After a lot of internal back and forth, I decided to only apply to the PICU. Sounds like a popular choice! Fingers crossed we hear something soon :-)
  12. Also, I applied for October... when did you all apply? What units?
  13. I applied, too! Based on previous posts, it looks like we shouldn't expect anything until June...
  14. Hi everyone! Congrats everyone who started working at Lurie's. Just wondering if anyone can shed light on their experience with the new grad orientation. Do you feel it was sufficient? Do you feel supported as a new grad? Any information much appreciated! What made you choose Lurie's over other Chicago peds jobs? Thank you :)
